Star Wars~~ The New Beginning

"He seems extra irritated to me...not that I'm completely surprised. He did keep muttering about you being late multiple times this week...among other things." She paused. "Anyways, irritating your Master is a fast track way to get on your Master's bad side. I know from experience..."

Nova shrugged again. "As I said, he's always irritated. No matter what I do."

Xevari chewed her lip as if thoughtful. "Maybe we should change that..."

"How?"

Xevari shrugged. "I'm not sure at the current moment. I'll get back to you when I have a concrete idea."

Nova snorted. "Thought so."

"What? I've had other things on my mind rather than the thought of changing Lumar's opinions. What do you think I am? A living, breathing thinking cap?"

"You read my mind."

Xevari rolled her eyes.

[laughing] That was the perfect response. "

Nova looked around, checking to make sure he had all of his books.

"Shall we be moving?"

Nova spotted one last book. "Hang on." He padded towards it.

Xevari waited patiently. She looked back at Aluik. "I'll find you shortly."

Nova picked up the book, but fumbled and dropped it. It hit the ground and opened, sending what appeared to be five comic books skidding out from between the pages.

Xevari set down the books as she shook her head and scooped them up. "Well, no wonder why you're behind on your homework."

Nova shook his head. "Those are just the ones I'm bringing into training with me."

"Well, I'm confiscating these before Lumar catches you with them."

"Hey! It's bad enough that he found the last twenty! I don't need to lose five more!"

"I'll give them back after you catch up on homework."

Nova held out one hand. "No! Give them back now!"

"No." Xevari put them in an inner pocket.

Nova growled. "Why?!"

"Because clearly you need to focus on your academics before you do your leisure reading."

Should we wait for Sydney?

"Those are just five I was planning on reading when Lumar is going on about who knows what! I have a whole bunch more so it really doesn't matter! Now give them back!"

I thought her character walked away.

"Whatever Lumar is teaching you is important! You shouldn't be going off in la-la-land while he's trying to instill in you important Jedi skills!"

I'm tempted to have Xevari threaten to torch rest of his comics if he doesn't catch up on his homework.

I don't think Alex ultimately did completely.
