"I don't know! You could be a hybrid of some species!"

Valkyrie slashed forward again. "Of what!"

"How should I know?! I haven't met every species possible!"

Valkyrie stepped back, her wings rose up and curved around her shoulders. "I'm different Aluik! I'm dangerous!"

"I realize that! I'm not a moron."

Valkyrie's eyes flashed.

"What matter does it make that you are different and dangerous?" Aluik said, annoyed with the lengths to which she had to go to persuade Valkyrie. "Aren't we all different and potentially dangerous?"

Valkyrie lunged forward again, her lightsaber flashing at Aluik's head. Sudden;y she shrieked in pain and fell toward the ground, clutching her head.

Aluik blocked the lunge and scooped up Valkyrie's lightsaber. "Never let go of your weapon, but I can see in this case, there may be an exception."

Valkyrie shrieked again, her yes wide in pain. She bolted upright and stared up at the sky. "LET ME GO!" She yelled. "JUST LET ME GO!" WIth another scream she turned and bolted into the trees.

"Valkyrie!" Aluik shouted. She dropped to all fours and sprinted after her.

Valkyrie tore through the trees wildly. Suddenly she tripped and went sprawling. Slowly she got back up and leaned back against a tree. A small white creature came slinking out from her satchel and curled up in her arms.

Aluik skidded to a halt and was befuddled with the sight.

Valkyrie glanced at Aluik then wrapped her wings around herself. Staring down at the creature in her arms.

"What is that?"

"A Jax."

"I couldn't tell because you were covering it up."

Valkyrie looked away.

"Pet?"

"If you can call her that. She's one of many."

"You have...a lot of pets?"

"Friends. They're my friends."
